Will Larter left this review about Hideaway
Upstairs bar in a medium sized city centre industrial unit. (There's a courtyard downstairs, with the gents toilets signposted that way too.) The bar counter is on the left on entering, made of repurposed boards and tiles, by the looks of it. Cocktails are advertised, and there are six keg taps, mostly from non-mainstream sources: lagers, an IPA, a cider and a nitrostout, plus Lucky Saint 0%. I went for a 4.2% lager called Frisby from Round Corner (the brewery is in Melton Mowbray - Frisby is a nearby village, rather than something you throw for people or dogs to catch). £6 per pint is more than I expect to pay, but at least it wasn't excessively cold or fizzy. There was a 70th birthday party going on at the time of my random visit on a Saturday afternoon, so I felt right at home. The music was unusual, modern hippy stuff, and then it changed to a Latin beat and people started dancing, so I thought it might be time to drink up and leave.
