Not much has changed since Alan's review from 2001 - still Palmers, and still doing food. I found it crowded, and while the staff were pleasant enough, some of the locals seemed a bit hostile, looking down their collective noses at us. The pub is very dog-friendly, and there was actually a recumbent greyhound asleep behind the bar. Food was pub standards, well-cooked and good value. Ales were Copper, Gold, 200 and IPA, while First Press cider was also on handpump. Worth dropping in for lunch.

The Greyhound is a Palmers tied house in the middle of Beaminster.
Once inside here the bar area has a stone floor and fairly comfy seating and further back there is a dining area.
There were four palmers real ales on the bar i had a drink of Palmers best bitter there was also Palmers 200, Bridport bitter and Dorset Gold, the best bitter was very drinkable.
