E TA left this review about The View Bar & Kitchen

Not really a pub, The View is the cafe, restaurant and bar element of the Bean Country Club and its associated golf business. It sits on the flat land between Brean beach and the A38, and as such is a pleasant rural location to some extent. Certainly the view to the East are very pleasant, looking out over the golf course and adjacent farmland to the hills beyond, although looking in the other directions is less impressive due to rows of holiday chalets and Brean Theme Park. There is plenty of parking, and there is overnight accommodation. The bar/restaurant is reached by passing the Club reception foyer, then you find yourself in a long rectangular room with glass walls on three sides and the bar counter on the fourth. There is no vertical drinking, so you sit at one of the tables, all of which have been laid for diners, and try to ignore the dirty looks from their main customer base. Incongruous pop music was being played, probably more for the benefit of the staff than the customers. There is a large outside terrace around the two sides of the building with the better country views with more tables. The young staff were polite enough, though it was clear that we were the lowest priority to get served. No real ale or cider, so the choices were keg Doombar, Worthington's, Guinness, Coors, Carling, Madri, Thatcher's Gold and three fruit Thatcher's from the hydrant. Prices were high for the area, The Doombar was twice the price that you would pay in one of the bars on the main drag. It's certainly more refined than any of the other bars in Brean, and I'd be happy to come and have a meal here if in the area, but it doesn't justify a visit just for a beer.
