Peter Forster left this review about The Upside Bar Co

A relative newcomer to the Newton Abbot pub scene, this is a craft beer outlet situated just outside the main town centre. Apparently it has an older sister premises in Paignton. It occupies a corner site, which looks like it was previously a shop or similar. Inside, one room with tables, chairs and stools, a wood floor and leather bar. A good range of keg beers were on offer, advertised on two wide screen television displays. I had a pint of the Jandles and Togs New Zealand IPA from Round Corner Brewing based in Melton Mowbray. It was good and refreshing on a hot day. The barman (presumably manager) was a bit brusk but it was the start of his day and he was quite busy. He had chilled a bit but the time I finished my pint and left. It wouldn’t stop me going back. This is a good venue and if I lived here it would be a regular. Not too far from the railway station either.
