E TA left this review about The Lyme Bay

A seaside cafe bar which is more cafe than pub, but it has recently started selling draught ale. The main part of the business is a single room with a central bar servery and a larger, more open food servery at one side. There is also an industrial coffee machine near the food counter. At the rear is a conservatory with views out over the sea, and there is some open-air terrace seating beyond that. The floor is timber, while the majority of the furniture is formed from planks and scaffold poles, much like some micros, though this isn’t one of those. It’s table service only, but as the staff are mainly jovial and friendly, that’s not an issue. Only one draught ale on when we visited, Proper Job, which was in average condition. There was a second handpump, which was dry. On keg were Heineken, Orchard Press Cider, Amstel and Mena Dhu. A selection of cheap wines was also available. They are open from 9AM every day, so it’s a good place to drop in for refreshments when not too busy, but it lacks pub atmosphere so I doubt I’d want to make an evening of it.
