Clubhouse at East Boldon Cricket Club which was happy to take our custom on a windy Saturday lunchtime.

The simple clubhouse bar shares the building with changing rooms and squash courts.

The bar had 3 TVs, two of which were showing live Championship football, with the third switched off.

One end of the room displays a number of trophies as well as an electronic scoreboard for people to keep an eye on the cricket score. There was also a covered up pool table.

Yoga is promoted and the clubhouse is dog friendly. Work is currently undergoing on a new patio to the front and overlooking the cricket pitch.

Also in the building is what was labelled as a Committee Room, which also has its own bar and can be hired out for functions.

A couple of cask ales from Maxim can be found on the bar. For our visit, these were Nelson & Swedish Blonde. Keg options included Camden Eazy & Black Sheep Smooth.

This place felt like a bit of a building site when we arrived and we were the only customers for a good time, before another couple arrived with their dog.

WhatPub displays the opening time as 6pm, but they were certainly open from midday when we visited on a Saturday.
