Blue Scrumpy left this review about Ronnie's Bar

Another Good Beer Guide-listed pub in Chorley. This one was pretty poor. As we approached, we could hear some very loud music coming from somewhere. It was of course Ronnie's Bar. Some of our party decided to give it a miss and head to the Crown opposite. I'd been to the Crown previously, so decided to persevere with the noise.

Luckily the long haired singer paused for an interval shortly after our arrival. Locals were raving about his talents but live music in such an intimate venue is not really my scene. So, we were determined not to hang around. Inside is a single room with a piano to the rear. For some reason, there was some Shepherd Neame signage on one turquoise painted wall. As with most Chorley bars we visited, there is also some outdoor seating on the pavement to the front.

The handpull was clipped with Wily Fox Blonde Vixen. Whilst the quality of the beer was fine, it wasn't really my kind of beer. The cider was Cornish Orchards Gold. Not quite sure how this pub makes the Good Beer Guide.
