David Walton left this review about Lewes Golf Club

Visited 15/05/25

Two hand pumps both dispensing Harvey's Sussex Best. Keg offering was Amstel, Moretti, Guinness and Inch's cider. Decent range of beers by bottle and can also.

Pretty spectacular location up a single-track road with a small car park out the front. The lounge overlooks the town of Lewes and way beyond with some picnic benches round the side on paving stones overlooking the final green. The lounge has large windows on two sides, is carpeted with regular tables and chairs. The bar counter has service on three sides and is against the wall looking out over the final green. There is a lounge off to the back of the bar area and used for functions. A couple of TV's were showing sporting action. Not being a golfer these days not likely to find myself back here again even though the views alone make the trek up worthwhile.

Just a quick pint, then I'm off left this review about Lewes Golf Club

Golf clubhouse, but the sign outside says 'walkers welcome' with another polite notice on the door asking for muddy boots to be taken off. Anyway, it is set in a fine position atop the South Downs, with the lounge's picture windows and compact patio terrace overlooking the town below. Very club-like appearance, with plain semi-modern furniture and limited decoration. Nice pint of Harvey's (£5.00) available from one of a pair of handpumps while you're enjoying the view.
