A fairly new shop conversion in a neat Victorian building, a micro pub but no cask beer so does it count? Downstairs is a single square room, counter in the rear right, stairs next to it and leatherette banquettes around the remaining wall space. I thought it would serve more dreary national kegs but there’s a solo for Tiny Rebel stout, far too cold to enjoy, a horseshoe with beer from Northern Monk, Lucky Buddha, Dortmunder Union and a proper Latin lager from Mahou as well as some normal beer from Corona on a fizzy solo and Stella, there’s an Orchard Pig cider. There’s a room upstairs as well and unfortunately the decor is largely old paintings with the human heads replaced by dog heads. In true micro style there’s a unisex toilet in the corner of the bar, the music and the multiple screens less micro style.
