Graham Coombs left this review about Cleethorpes TapHouse
A surprisingly-enterprising adaption of an old pavilion by the boating lake, turning what could have been a tedious tearoom into a bustling café and craft bar. The main room has been fitted out with a scaffolding-built bar and basic festival-type benches, accessorised with a slightly-disappointing beer fridge, a wine dispensing machine and considerable decoration, including a bizarre collection of silver 'bubbles' overhead. The back wall has 18 assorted keg taps, with a few more on the counter, dispensing quite a wide range including various craft beers from the likes of Salt and Tiny Rebel, assorted European brews including several Belgians and a few ciders. Most importantly, they have included a handpump offering TT Landlord or a guest ale, which on this occasion was a cloudy and citrussy but very drinkable Nightjar Hermit Crab of Hope. Food seemed reasonably priced and was pretty good, so the place was justifiably very busy but they seemed to be coping well. I would happily return.
