Graham Coombs left this review about H&W Crowthorne

Another of the new-build eateries being provided by Hall & Woodhouse to serve new housing developments. They seem to have given up applying names and just call them after the brewery now, although from the decorations I expect this was originally going to be called The Stag. It has a very arty and rather high exterior resembling some sort of medieval warehouse complex, with various wood and brick facings. Inside it is sort of designer barn, with high vaulted ceilings and lots of greenery and dangly light fittings. There are various prints and decorations relating to the previous use of the site, which was part of the Road Research Laboratory, or random wildlife artwork including the aforementioned stags. The glittery bar area across the front includes 3 handpumps, with Badger Tanglefoot and Fursty Ferret as regulars joined by their seasonal brew, in this case Venom and Virtue, and a couple of big copper stands with the usual keg things, while a small wall of taps includes a couple of their own craft offerings. One side has high tables while the other has lower comfy chairs with a sort of lounge feel. To the back is a large dining area, while outside are numerous tables and a lot of landscaping. It might not have the atmosphere of a traditional pub but it is all very smart and swish and, to be fair, is a pleasant place for a few pints or a meal.
