David Walton left this review about The Alchemist
Visited 04/02/25
No cask obviously. Small keg offering of Guinness, Brixton Reliance Pale Ale, Moretti and Asahi.
This is a newly opened (at date of visit) branch of the chain not too far from Monument tube. Typical plush interior with bar counter along the left-hand wall starting near the entrance. Some patterned tiles along the bar counter but other than that dark and light sections of bare boards. There is a long leather banquette winding its way around the right-hand wall from the entrance with tall wooden tables and what look like v expensive leather backed tall stools the other side thereof. A couple of gold coloured metal tables filled around the two central pillars with the same type of stools before Booth tables in the rear corner and around the dog leg off the back right corner. Lighting is low and the music predictably ambient and loud!

Just a quick pint, then I'm off left this review about The Alchemist
Typical chain cocktail bar and restaurant with anonymous modern furniture but some feature lighting that enliven the otherwise plain, dark, staple-shaped interior. Five keg beers: Moretti, Asahi, Pravha, Brixton Reliance (£7.00) and Guinness. Thought I managed to get in early enough after work to avoid the booming music I felt sure was coming, but it came on just after I sat down with my pint!
