The Farmers Club is located in a rather grand building (Grade II listed) just outside Ormskirk town centre.
There is a snooker or pool table ahead of you as you enter. On my Sunday evening visit, this area was in darkness. So, I headed to the well-lit bar off to the left-hand side, where a group of friendly and elderly locals and a younger barmaid were gathered.
All were engaging in some interesting discussions with a TV in the corner showing darts and providing a focal point for some of the discussion.
Bombardier & Wainwright Gold were the cask ales.
