Ian Mapp left this review about The Tipsy Toad

We were looking for a post walk pub in Bromyard. There's not quite as much choice as you think, with many closed down. Some preserved perfectly (The Railway Inn, closed in the 1970s for residential use but externally, could open tomorrow). Some going to rack and ruin - the Hop Pole Hotel.

The Kings Arms was considered - also closed - but next door, a shop has been converted into a two story micro pub. Seems all rather odd - why not use a purpose build building! I am sure there are myriad reasons.

A two story - snug, comfortable with a wood burner fire near a small bar at the far end. Friendly locals and staff - to the point that mini eggs (on Easter Sunday) were shared to locals and strangers together.

For a micro - the wares were a little pedestrian. I would have but a bet on Wye Valley HPA and Butty being on. And they were. Decent condition.

A comfortable visit.
