Just a quick pint, then I'm off left this review about The Foresters

Newish micro-pub located in a parade of shops close by the main West Worthing station building. Attractive inside, having been given an unusually light, semi-modern look, with chunky wooden furniture and floral decorations on the tables in the compact rear lounge. Also has a couple of little tables out on the pavement. However, the bar at the front is more what one might expect, with a counter just long enough for four keg taps, a glass-fronted cool room with a stillage for up to 12 casks, a fridge for the crafty cans, and limited seating. I went for the Zephyr from Cwrw Otley (£4.20), one of the five beers in various styles, served by gravity. A selection of four ciders is also available.

The Foresters has only been open a few weeks, but is already attracting a small following. It's very much a standard contemporary micropub with 4 cold-room delivered ales, 4 ciders and 4 keg (one a lager), several wines as well as a well-stocked fridge, albeit at prices that didn't cause anything more than a cursory glance. A wide range of crisps, nuts etc comprise the food offering. You'll find seating at high tables, as well as a narrow shelf, at the front, though the room extends further back than you'd expect, thus providing quite a few more tables there.

This micropub seems designed with a broader appeal than some of the oldest examples of the genre (of which there are a few in Worthing) so, while there's plenty of competition locally, I think The Foresters will probably do alright.

A micropub in a converted shop almost opposite West Worthing railway station.

The serving area and cold room are in the middle of the premisies. The front area has high seating and the rear has low seating. Typically serves 4 cask beers, 4 ciders, and 4 kegs. A good selection of wines. Also a selection of cans in the fridge, and assorted snacks crisps nuts etc. are available.

Toilets are at the rear, with a small step up so access may be a problem for some. Also toilets are not really suitable for wheelchair access.

Card payments only, no cash.
