Bucking Fastard left this review about Ardgour Ales

The tap for the SIBA award winning Ardgour Ales, you order from the brewery building and seating are benches to the side under an awning .Some logs in a fire pit will be lit if it's cold and the views along Loch Linnie are spectacular. All the brews have gaelic names and pronounciation notes are provided .It's all very organic ,no chemical additives and the friendly brewer also bakes bread on a Sunday, again no additives while on Friday evenings pizze are served which brings in the punters. The ferry from the Fort William side is free for foot passengers and cyclists from 8am but last ferry back is 9.20pm,dont miss it unless you want a huge road diversion along this side of the Loch.Car costs £11 each way.
On my trip the ale options were their Dol fodha na greine (amber mild),Goghar Odhar (Best Bitter NBSS 4) and an outstanding Gobhar Reamhar ,a 6.5% dark, dry stout perfect NBSS 5.
Make the effort to get here the brewer lives next door in the manse, chickens roam around, salmon are farmed nearby in the Loch and the ale was top drawer.Only closed on a Monday.Truely memorable.
