David Walton left this review about Endeavour
Visited 28/08/24.
Small bar with a live music and comedy space in the basement called the Underground. On ground floor it is a bare boarded bar with the servery mid venue against the right-hand wall. Seating in the front part consists of a ledge with stools in the window looking out onto the main road, a ledge with high stools at the side of the stairs down into the basement and stools at the bar. Up a single step is the middle section with bench style seating and then up another couple of steps to the back part where there are some tables. The walls are painted a dark green colour and there is some fabric art on the walls, plus notably a large, quite old, poster listing the crew of HMB Endeavour including the man himself James Cook.
No cask. Keg options were Guinness (my pick here), Atlantic Pale Ale, Jute from Salt, Blue Moon, Staro, Pravha and Aspall cider.
The venue was quiet on my visit ahead of a comedy night. My entertainment during my visit apart from the HMB poster and my pint of Guinness was a rather jaunty Latin soundtrack (music not language)! Thought it was a cool bar.
