Will Larter left this review about Roadhouse Bar & Bottles

A bar and bottle shop in a fairly narrow shop unit. The bar is squeezed in on the left, tables and seating on the right, and there's a further small room at the rear with four tables. Toilets for men are outside, for women and wheelchair users inside. Three hand pumps on the go, with beers from Kirkstall, Welbeck Abbey and Beartown. The keg beer offering was similarly varied, and I went for Kirkstall in both formats: Three Swords (cask) and Virtuous (keg). My two halves came to £5.20; the cask beer was too cold and a little stale, probably not helped by not being listed on the beer board, and having its pump clip (improvised in the absence of one from the brewery) half hidden behind some wine bottles. The keg beer was also without a proper marker, but was actually better than the cask beer (gasp!), probably the first time in more than 50 years of pub going that I've said that. There was a singer standing in the very small space near the front window singing songs I didn't recognise until he made a decent stab at Radiohead's No Surprises from OK Computer. I was surprised to find that this town centre pub in the back of beyond is actually handy for the X5 bus to Sheffield, hourly until the evenings, when they're every 90 minutes. This is not going to tempt me away from Kelham Island on a regular basis.
