Strongers . left this review about 5th Avenue
5th Avenue has a green and grey façade with a strip of green plastic leaves, a theme that runs throughout this two floored bar and restaurant. At street level are rows of tables for dining which were surprisingly empty on Saturday afternoon. In fact the friendly barmaid/cleaner/waitress seemed surprised to see me and my daughter walk in. We headed up the stairs, where fat from the kitchen could be smelt, to the empty bar located on the first floor. I was very disappointed to see a small portable counter in front of some fridges with bottles, no draught. We sat on the balcony that overlooks the Cornfeld Road bus rank and the Wetherspoons opposite. We had to wait about 10 minutes to be served and for our drinks to arrive, and the lemonade on its own came with ice and a slice. £7.50 for a lemonade and small bottle of Peroni. I used the toilet which hadn’t been cleaned from the night before, although as we descended the stairs back to the exit we passed the barmaid/cleaner/waitress who was wiping down on her way up to the bar. Maybe the toilets should be cleaned first. This isn’t somewhere I plan to revisit.
