Graham Coombs left this review about Duck & Ball
Previously the pavilion for Chiswick Cricket Club and serving the adjacent playing fields, this went 'public' and adopted a silly name a year or two ago. It still feels very much a pavilion, with the frontage and entrance facing the pitches and changing rooms behind. There is just the one large room, with the bar and kitchen servery to one side and a comfy area to the back featuring sofas and a log burner, while other furnishing is mainly wicker-effect. Two handpumps offered TT Landlord and Tribute, although the latter was off, while a few taps presented Camden, Neck Oil etc. The plethora of miscellaneous notices makes it feel pretty clublike still, but it is pleasant enough, and the row of patio tables along the outside are probably nice in the summer. Handy if you are walking to the river or need somewhere with parking but not really worth going out of your way for.
