This was the second venue of a mini crawl I partook on invitation of Mr Fastard of this Parish on Black Friday (Mad Friday, Frantic Friday) or whatever you personally call the Friday before Christmas. The first was the Hertford Club, where the ale is excellent, but you need to be a member or signed in by one to enter, so not allowed on here.
Although we were early into this one (7 pm ish) it really wasn’t giving off a bar vibe and still felt very much like a restaurant. Despite some interesting keg beers and some high tables opposite the bar on which to enjoy them our small band of brothers were the only people using it as a bar. Perhaps it will be different in summer when the excellent riverside terrace, which is now in use, will come into its own.

A very new addition to the Loungers chain,it has an identikit interior with a long ,shiny,real ale free bar to the left side,and lots of dining tables around the rest of the L shaped interior which isn't that large.
There is a real focus on food here,there is even a "wait to be Seated " sign but this does not preclude just drinking.I popped in at lunchtime,but may update once i've been in the evening to see if this does transmogrify into an evening bar from a cafe during the day.The riverside terrace is not used at present and there is still building going on at this very new development.Maybe once it's weathered in,outside tables may lead to a different vibe in good weather but first impressions were that it's a little dull and predictable.
