Visited 26/11/25. Visited previously as Prince of Wales on 07/05/24.
No cask. Two handpumps not operational. Keg offering of Brixton Reliance Pale Ale, Neck Oil, Inch's, Murphy's stout, Heineken, Moretti, Amstel, Cruz and Heineken AF.
Recently refurbished and has a newness and smartness feel to it. Bar counter immediately opposite the front entrance has service on three sides with tall stool seating. Bare boarded with regular tables and chairs with some leather banquettes seating around the front windows. To the left-hand side there are some tall tables and high-backed stools plus a church pew style bench against the rear wall. Plenty of framed prints on the walls. Regular quiz on a Wednesday evening and the TV's were switched off on my visit with a good music soundtrack to keep me entertained with my pint of Murphy's. There is a paved patio area to the side of the venue, partly covered with a large screen TV. Whilst smarter, similar offering to the previous incarnation.

Feel like I am missing something here as this is a very traditional pub but I can’t find as an open or even closed venue that has recently reopened on the site.
The PoW Forest Hill is a small venue with seating doted around an island bar. A small but unappealing terrace on one side of the pub. Here at 8pm and as full as it is likely to be with a quiz promised. Large screen in the corner that was showing the Champions League action until it was killed presumably anticipating the quiz.
Literally at 57 years of age I was the youngest here. Thank god there was no if you are lucky enough to be under 60 please be prepared to show evidence to verify age etc.
Quaffs wise, totally unexciting. Proliferation of lagers in the Fosters, Heineken, Moretti, Amstel space. Yet another pint of Guinness for me rather than Neck Oil or Inchs cider. There were some bottled quaffs such as Newcastle Brown Ale and Bishop’s Finger. Most here would fail the age limitation of being too old to be a bishop I would hazard a guess.
There must be something I am missing here. This must be on the site already unless it is listed as a care home, something I am very sadly from a personal circumstance familiar with at this juncture. Will add a piccy on the way out to evidence this place as real rather than being in my imagination.
