Strongers . left this review about The Salutation Inn

The Salutation Inn is an old coaching inn that now operates as a hotel, restaurant, deli, fishmongers and café. The main entrance is via a ‘porte cochère' (carriage porch) which apparently English Heritage get excited about. This horse entrance has been covered with a skylight to make a tile floored central café style seating area where the various parts of the business can be accessed from. There is a small counter with a couple of bar stools, but there’s no draught, so the beer is limited to craft cans. I went for one of the local Powderkeg Brewery’s IPAs that was good, but paying over £5 for a 330 ml can of 4%ish lager meant one was enough for me.

The Salutation Inn is basically a Hotel but anyone can use any of the two lounges just to go in for a drink
