An excellent and quirky addition to the local beer scene. It shares a garden with the White Hart and you can move freely between the two pubs, but it is still a separate entity. Some small rooms on the balcony above can be booked, but are free to use when no-one has booked them. All have very large TV's in them. Loads of assorted tat around the walls, it's quite atmospheric. 4 handpumps on the bar with TT Landlord being permanent and the others being changing guests. We're often at this end of town as we often eat at the nearby Zorba's. We'll be in here next time as well.

Tagged onto the White Hart but a separate pub in its own right and certainly got its own interesting style. Four Handpumps offered up Westwood Cheshire Cat and Southern Cross, Ossett Silver King and TT Landlord. Great pub.

We made our way through the white Hart and on past the beer garden and into the Engineer. It was busy in the White Hart and in hindsight it would have been easier to walk around the corner and go through the entrance on Arrad St.
The word has it that this space was used recently by a local retired engineer, prior to becoming a pub. I liked it in here somewhere different a bit like the Bride Well. I especially liked the 1970's copper top tables. Four cask on handpump, Carnival Brewing Co Never A Frown, Chapter Brewing Blindfold off, TT Landlord and Titanic Chocolate and Vanilla Stout.

This new pub set in an old outbuilding is reached from the street or through the White Hart. It’s in a quite different style to its sister pubs though. According to the pub itself it is aiming for a "post-apocalyptic aesthetic set in the mid-20th century”, fair enough, it does feel a bit like drinking in an old war bunker. Set over two floors, with three small snug rooms upstairs, all done in a traditional style. It’s one you really have to experience for yourself, it’s beyond description really. On the bar, fairly disinterested service but four real ales are available plus bar snacks. Only drawback - massive TVs in all of the snugs plus an even more massive one in the main room felt totally out of place and detracted from an otherwise unique, somewhat surreal timewarp atmosphere.
