Well reviewed by ETA below, this is a relatively recent opening at the top of the Gloucester Quays development with good views over the docks and warehouses from it’s elevated position. It’s spread across a couple of floors, although the lower level appeared largely unused on our visit, and we simply passed through on our way out.
Décor wise it maintains something of an industrial vibe in many places with exposed brickwork on much of the walls and visible air conditioning ducting on the black painted ceiling. Flooring in the main bar is black and white chequered tiling, whilst a smaller room off to the side was broadly similar in terms of style.
Beers on tap were all from the Hop Kettle brewery as might be expected and consisted of Latte Doppio, Snakeshead, Long Nights, Element, C.O.B. and Secret Santa. There were also a number of craft beer options served from keg taps on the back wall. The solitary cider meanwhile was their own Stellar Crush. Overall, not a bad spot perhaps, but it was rather too industrial in style for my liking. Not that I’m adverse to a brewery tap in a warehouse, but the architecture of the building didn’t really suit that and I found it rather lacking in any ambience.

The latest of 4 pubs opened by the Hop Kettle Brewery, this one opened last year. It is housed on the first and second floors of a converted dockside premises alongside other small businesses housed in The Food Dock, giving a view or the docks from the front room and outside decking area. The upper floor is mainly bench seating for diners. The main bar has less of a view, but that's fine given its beer range. On cask were their Throwback, North Wall Bitter, Cosmic Shake, From Dusk, Sippin on the Dock and the experimental Ten x Ten x Ten (1000). Behind the bar, on the wall, were ten keg taps dispensing the same 6 ales from key keg plus some guests including a couple of German pilsners. Four boxed ciders were also available. The staff were very chatty and welcoming, the other customers very civilised. Food is provided by visiting 'pop-up' kitchen companies so is unpredictable, but that's part of the charm. The beer quality was outstanding, we were given samples of each before choosing our pints. They also offer the complete range of Hop Kettle beers in bottles for consumption on the premises or to take away. The host live acts including open mic nights, but (thankfully) this wasn't happening when we visited. By far the best modern pub experience I've had in a long time.
