A shop conversion so it’s long and thin and also dark. The counter is at the far end on the right, here we find one T-bar with a beer from Brew York, Veltins and Guinness, the last two must be particularly popular as there’s also a Veltins and Guinness solo. Another solo had Cerveza Alhambra. Next to them is a single pull serving a very good Anarchy Blonde Star. Opposite the counter and from the front to back is at variety of seating high and low. The toilets are at the far end past the counter. This is a card only place.

Formerly the café part of the adjoining bakers, this bar conversion is very minimalist, from the limited external signage to the entire lack of decorations. Whether that is by design or just because it is a work in progress is unclear. It is a long and fairly narrow room, with the front being sleek dark walls with smart up- and down-lighters and the back being plainer with an unfinished ceiling. To the side is a reasonable bar counter clad in oriented strand board, with a small kitchen area behind. At the far end are a bottle fridge and rack, although holding more wine than beer. A solitary handpump offered a pleasant Kirkstall Three Swords (£4.50), while a little T-bar had a small selection of craft. The atmosphere was sealed by some very laid-back music. Definitely not an unpleasant place, if still a bit featureless, but doesn't really seem to fit in with its neighbourhood so might struggle.
