The pub is in the middle of a shopping precinct, in what was previously a building society. A collection of railway related items adorn the walls. Very quiet when I visited on a Friday afternoon. There was a beer festival ongoing, with 11 cask ales on. A nice mixture of high and low seating with plenty of room to move around. Some bench seating outside at the front. A proper bar at the rear of the room with keg taps, cask beer is served from a cool room behind the bar. A good selection of craft cans available. An interesting selection of bar snacks from large glass jars. No WiFi that I could see, but the next door shop has free WiFi... Toad game, which seems increasingly popular in Sussex.

The recently opened Signalbox is larger than some micropubs, with a proper bar in place, though this just supports the keg fonts, of which there are 8, including Brugse Zot & an Abyss hazy pale. The ales and 4 ciders are produced from out the back (presumably the cool room) and, on this visit, included a Burning Sky Dark Mild, and 2 other Sussex beers, along with Redemption's Kazbek.
Seating on the left is mostly high tables and stools; on the right regular tables.
I stayed for a couple of the cask ales, both being in excellent condition and was able to observe plenty of visitors, some clearly regulars already, on a Saturday afternoon.
