Immediately nextdoor to Southwark Brewing Company, Kanpai was another new experience for me. Situated on the Bermondsey Beer Mile, this is a sake brewery located in a railway arch.

The bar is spread over a couple of a levels and was very popular on my Saturday evening visit.

I'm quite partial to a bit of sake, but instead opted for the Kanpai/By The Horns Yuzu JPA.

There was also a lager on. The sake choice was Rose Sparkling, Gooseberry & Honey, Sparkling Daiginjo, Hana Plum, Autumn MNG, Uchi House, Junmai MNG & Sumo MNG.

My JPA wasn't the worst beer I had on the Bermondsey Mile and in fact was quite palateable. Food from the kitchen also looked quite tempting.

I'd like to come back here one day to try the sake.
