Blue Scrumpy left this review about Rowington Club
Rowington seemed like quite a large village to not have any pubs left. The Cock Horse was closed in 2012 and converted to housing. As such, the Rowington Club is the only place (that I could see) to drink in the village.
In all fairness, the Club looks very much like a pub from the outside and you wouldn't have told the difference once inside either.
Staff were fairly friendly and nobody asked us if we were members. It's not the sort of place you would just stumble across. So, I don't expect they get too many visitors.
However, for locals, it's clearly a cherished place for a drink. It was busy on our Friday evening visit. Plenty of kids and everybody seemed to know one another.
On the beer front, Sharp's Doom Bar & Wye Valley HPA are the regular beers. I opted for the guest, which was Lister's Best Bitter and was enjoyable.
