First impressions: what an odd place. On entering, you'd think you were in a delicatessen, with the first thing I saw being a chiller cabinet of cheese and sausage rolls. Look a bit further though and you'll spot the taps on the back wall. These offer the usual Pale Ales, stouts and lagers, with a cider to finish the range.
Seating is both in this bar area and further back, in a second room. Pretty much all of the dozen or more tables were taken Friday mid-afternoon, many of them featuring by now half finished bottles of wine.
Indie music helped the relaxing feel but, while a little more micropub in feel than most, fundamentally this is not so different to any other craft beer bar that I feel compelled to rush back soon.

A small bar in what was previously a bookmakers. The inside is divided into a number of seating spaces which makes for a pleasant environment using recycled furniture. 8 keg taps including a stout and cider, craft beer also in cans in a fridge. Hot and cold snacks are available: patties, pies meats, cheese, and deli type foods. Owned by the same people as The New Amsterdam. A welcome addition to this part of the town.
