Well described by the previous reviewer, though I'm not familiar enough with Hoxton to endorse every word. I found the background music a little annoying, but that's usually the case with me. As this was a medically mandated no alcohol day, I was directed to the fridges further back in the shop, and chose Purity Point Five, which was a bit too cold for my taste but otherwise fine.

The Craftsman is a craft bar with a serving counter to the right that supports 16 craft taps, the options for which are displayed on a large screen above the back bar. I went for Attic Brew Co’s Eclipse which was a nice black IPA. For those not happy with a choice of 16 beers there are fridges full of craft cans. The counter faces high tables that stretch across the front and then some steps lead up to a mix of raised seating areas at the rear. The vibe was a cross between bar and coffee shop, in fact a coffee machine takes pride of place centrally on the back bar. It was OK in here, but it was a little too Hoxton for my liking. If Bernard Black owned a bar rather than a book shop then this would be the business that opened next to it.
