The Lymedale is a bar and kitchen at the end of the Lymedale Suites, which are cheap self-contained digs for trades and salespersons. Sounds like it should be horrendous, but it’s actually quite a smart open plan space with booth seating along the front windows. The drink selection isn’t great with only a choice of standard and limited premium keg available from the eight fonts. The food is very reasonably priced with the steak burger coming in at £9.50. The doors don’t open until 16:30 during the week and there is an adjoining live music venue that was closed during my midweek visit just after opening. This isn’t somewhere I’ll be actively seeking out again, but I’m sure I’ll pop back in for another beer if I find myself staying at the accommodation again.
