Striking blue façade that advertises the availability of Courage ales and rather than being some 70’s anachronism, they do indeed sell the stuff. Also, can definitely confirm that this is Printer’s Elbow II, though by this stage was too flummoxed to remember to ask the barman why. Interior is a fairly opened-out affair with bare wood flooring and a general ‘shades of brown’ décor scheme. Darts is big in here with a board available and a televised match being shown. Jukebox spotted. Four pumps at the bar; 2x Courage, Pride and Teignworthy Googly (good). Decent little outlet and makes a nice double-header with DT’s a few minutes away.

The Printer’s Elbow II (was there a Printer’s Elbow I?) is a small local’s boozer where I received a warm welcome on my recent midweek visit. The bar is stocked with standard draught and the four hand pumps were drawing Directors, Courage Best (x2) and Teignworthy’s Pippa’s Pint. There is a pool table and a dartboard that was being used for a match. Plasma screens and a projector show Sky Sports, but these were off during my visit and low music was being played off the jukebox. The seating is conventional, but there are some stools made up with old milk churns and at least one table used to be a beer barrel.
I liked it in here and would gladly return.
