Bolsover is a reasonably small town with a Wetherspoon's. This micropub provides a nice contrast. The bar is on the ground floor as you enter, with another space for seating in what looks like an extension or outbuilding to the right-hand side.

It was quite busy on our early Sunday evening visit. So we retreated upstairs, where there is another smallish room with table football, a dartboard, a large TV (switched off) and plenty of board games to keep you occupied.

A quiz started whilst we were there and contestants were seated both downstairs and upstairs. The hostess was somehow running it without a microphone.

There were 3 cask ales - Stancil Black, Woodforde's Albion & Peak Ales Chatsworth Gold. In addition, there were 3 Broadoak ciders - Moonshine, Moonshine Rum & Raisin & Sloe Gin Cider. Craft beers were Abbeydale Obsession Series: Motueka NEIPA, Ticking Clock It Never Happened, Silent/Lark Hill Dangerous Nights Crew & Eyam Hope Valley Haze.

Nice place.
