Massive place but completely hidden round the back of the fire station restaurant – I only knew where it was due to the directions given to me in the TAPhouse. Set over two big rooms, a pool table dominates the main with the bar adjacent and TV sports everywhere – there’s even a telly in the bogs so you don’t miss while you piss. Painted in awful snot green and grey colours. Surprised to see two pumps with Hop Back Summer Lightning available though it was a pretty naff one (NBSS 2), served-up by a friendly young lass who nonetheless was outside with the punters rather than behind the bar expecting customers. If you want the sports then this is for you but as a standalone I wouldn't bother.
