Located just off the popular Whiteladies Road strip, this is a combination of coffee shop and bar as might be inferred from it’s name. Unlike other similar establishments though which seem to have more a coffee shop focus during the day and then morph in to a bar in the evenings, this operates very much coffee shop hours, closing at 5:00pm, even on a weekend.

Internally it’s all one long and narrow single room, with the bar counter to the right, and some shelves on the left with cans for sale. These were divided in to sections such as pale, sour, saison, etc. A ‘fridge was also next to the bar counter containing chilled options. The walls and ceiling were all whitewashed whilst the floor was some sort of wood strip giving it a light and contemporary feel, whilst there were some large pictures of mountain scenes on the wall at the rear. Seating was fairly limited, with a few tables and chairs at the rear, a couple more squeezed in to the window, and some stools to the left.

Predictably there were no real ales on tap, and although there were five taps on the back wall, one was a lager and two were unused leaving just Yonder Passionfruit Mimosa and Verdant Headband. Overall, this didn’t really do it for me. As a coffee shop I’m sure it’s probably very nice, but it’s a bit of a non-starter as a pub.
