The most northerly brewery on mainland Britain has its own pub, an experience of 2 parts: the bar area is formed from an old cottage, from which you can walk through to a modern shop space with large picture windows looking out to the island of Stroma and others beyond. The pub area is far superior and also the busier, with a warm fire no doubt helping. The compact bar serves up 2 brewery ales and another 2 from Orkney Brewery just across the Pentland Firth - all are priced at £6.30.

This is clearly not a place you're going to combine with any others for a pub crawl, but its the pick of the venues at the tourist trap at the top of Scotland.
