This bar has opened since the last time I visited Brecon in 2016.

It is a long, narrow room with the bar itself to the rear right. Steps just before the bar lead to another floor of seating. Beers are listed on a board to the side of the bar. There are a couple of handpulls, which for our visit, were clipped with Grey Trees Into The Valley & Glamorgan Cwrw Gorslas. Craft beers were Polly's Wallow, Lervig House Party & Tasty Juice, Brew York Brownie Pints 2025 & Vault City Mango Chilli Margarita. The solitary cider is Robinson's Flagon. Plenty of gins are available, as the pub's name would suggest. These are all listed on menus found on the bar or on tables. Fridges and shelves against the left-hand wall have further canned and bottled beers to choose from.

The food here is tapas. Dogs are welcome. On a Saturday shortly after midday opening, it was reasonably quiet in here and we grabbed a table relatively easily. However, I could imagine that this place gets very busy in the evenings when people are here for the food.

Not a bad pub but I was a bit peturbed by not being able to purchase a half pint of beer. It is only sold in thirds, two thirds or pints. My third of the Grey Trees beer was ok, without being anything special.

Very good micropub in a narrow building. Ground floor has seats at the front, benefitting from the light from the front window. Two hand pumps are on the corner of the bar counter, half way back on the right. Bottles and cans face the bar, and a blackboard on the back wall lists the keg as well as cask beers. (Half pints not available - just pints, two-thirds and thirds. I switched from half of 4.2% to a third at 4.7%.) Cask beers were from Grey Trees - I went for JPR Pale, named after the great Rugby Union full back of that name (NBSS 4). I also took away a bottle of the same brewery's Into The Valley. Toilets are upstairs, as well as additional seating. Nice place!
