Blue Scrumpy left this review about Weird Dad Brewery Tap
Brewery tap for the Weird Dad Brewery, which appears to be a shop conversion. Opening hours are fairly limited and for some reason, I had it in my mind that they were open until 8pm on a Sunday. As it happened, we arrived not long before their 6pm closing time.
The bar is split into two parts. You enter into the right-hand part which contains the bar. All of the local customers were either sitting or standing in this section despite the section off to the left having more seating.
There are 3 handpulls on the bar which were dispensing Weird Dad Welsh Bitter & New Bristol My Secret Romance. The third was unclipped. Ciders were Pulp Rhubarb & Mango Cider & Celtic Marches Wild Berries. Meanwhile, there was a good craft beer selection - Cold Shelter Lost Boys, Misfit Trash Panda, Weird Dad Eddie Trooper and White Wellie, Yonder Fruit Machine, Double Choc Fudge Cake & Victoria Sponge Cake & Dog's Window Duvet Day. The full beer list could be seen on a TV screen. In addition, a fridge to the side of the bar and shelves along one wall in the left-hand section contained more bottled and canned beers, ciders and meads which can be taken away.
Chocolates on the bar were a nice touch. Locals said we had to answer a crossword clue to get one but we suspect they had some of the other clues wrong! Dogs are allowed, a wifi code is provided and music was playing quietly to create a fairly relaxed atmosphere. Service was also friendly. All in all, I thought that this place is well worth the effort of getting to.

Just a quick pint, then I'm off left this review about Weird Dad Brewery Tap
Micro-pub sized brewery taproom and off licence, located just over the River Usk from the centre of town, so definitely a bit quieter than many outlets on a scorchingly hot Saturday afternoon but still quite hard to find a seat until a large group headed onwards. With four handpumps on the compact counter, I found a couple of their own beers - including my Karma Citra (£4.00) - along with a pair of ciders.

'Other side of town' GBG-listed micro with somewhat truncated opening hours. A pretty basic place with a DIY ethos. Just one of theirs on cask, and sadly flat (NBSS 2). Two other cask and a cider made-up the set. Lee's black pudding scotch egg saved the day, as did a friendly welcome and a couple of Belgian bottles I've not had before from the fridge.
