Tucked away off the Chatsworth Road in a small industrial estate the tap room of the Brampton Brewery isn’t the best one I have ever been to, but it was nice enough. A one room space with mainly brick walls and no windows to speak of, but with some natural light coming through the corrugated plastic roof.
A few decorative brewery related bits such as an old John Smiths pub sign and some beer brand signs high up on one wall.
Two of the brewery beers available on the small serving area and the quality was on point as you would expect. It was worth a visit to tick this one off but will probably forgo it next time for one of the nearby traditional pubs that stock their beer, such as The Tramway Tavern

I too was baffled by the Dutch spelling of beer house. Suffice to say, the pub seemed to be dog-obsessed with my half of Brampton Best at £1.70 and good, but overall this isn’t my type of place.

The tap for the Brampton Brewery, not quite sure of the reason for the dutch spelling. You enter into the ground floor of an industrial building but there are no brewing vessels on display, instead a large room with a high ceiling and a wood burner in one corner but no natural light or windows.Traditional tables and lots of folk in at 4pm on a Friday ,so a good atmosphere.
The three handpumps were offering Brampton Best and Golden Bud (NBSS 3) with the third unclipped.I was surprised that a tap would offer so little ale, there was a much better range of their beers in the Project William Rose & Crown not far away.
There were some strong continental lagers on offer but there wasn't enough here to justify another visit.

Small brewery taproom attached to the brewery in a typical small industrial estate setting. Typical limited opening hours as well. Not big by any measure probably twenty foot square with the servery on the back left wall. Furnishing is scaffold based tables or glass topped casks with more comfy stools and chairs than usual. Three hand pumps, two working and two T-Bars with mostly their own products plus Vedett, a couple of nice Belgians and something I didn’t recognise, quality up to scratch for a tap. A few foreign bottles are also available. Interesting decor of brewery signs, Camra awards and a grandfather clock. There’s a single unisex lav’ in the entrance corridor beside the timeclock, customers are not expected to clock in or out.

Just a quick pint, then I'm off left this review about The Brampton Bierhuis

Inconspicuous brewery tap, hidden away behind a side door in a small industrial estate, but actually a better-than-usual bar of its type. Compact counter and plenty of breweriana about the walls. Brampton Best and Tudor Rose available from two of the three handpumps, with several interesting craft and imported beers on the six keg taps.

As usual with this sort of place, it is a marked door at the end of an industrial unit in a small commercial estate, although in this case there is the brewery entrance and shop alongside, and a big heap of casks. Inside they have created quite a nice little bar, helped by disguising the walls with brick-effect wallpaper and wood panelling, decorated with various breweriana. There were three of their own beers on handpump, with some interesting European beers on keg, plus a good range of bottles, and the lady in charge was extremely friendly and helpful, to the extent of getting the head brewer on the phone to answer a question! If it wasn't for the draw of the many pubs nearby, I would happy to stop here awhile.
