Very much putting the cafe into cafe bar, although it has ideas above its station with a greet and seat ethos. High seating down one side, counter down the other with something at the far end, a restaurant, another small bar and limited toilets are upstairs. It serves a quintet of keg things; two latin lagers, Guinness, cider and Neck Oil plus a few bottled beers, cocktails etc and a range of food. Seems popular with younger women with and without brats, although it was a mid afternoon visit. Brightly lit and grey walls, it does quizzes and live music. No longer smart or upmarket it’s not on my must revisit list.

A new and smart upmarket lounge bar, fronting a restaurant & bistro behind. The surprisingly large interior features an expensive-looking tiled floor and arty decor. No real ale: Theakstons and Neck Oil are available on keg with other local brews in bottle.
