A joint venture between Bluestone Brewing Company and The Canteen, Newport. A strange set-up and hidden out of view (we only found it via Tripadvisor) you enter through a courtyard with a number of tented booths and tables, to a temporary gazebo attached to the main building. The place majors on pizzas and local keg beers and bottled ciders. We ate here (I didn’t see anyone else just drinking but the website is clear that you can) and the pizzas were competitively priced and of a high quality, the staff (table service) were also really friendly and efficient. For the record, I had the Skins from Flowerhorn Brewery and a bottle of the Gethins Original Cyder. In a small tourist town of limited options this one is worth knowing about and does well at the job it sets out to do.
