Real Ale Ray left this review about The Boot

Well worth a visit this micro, as it had a very friendly welcome from the young owner and before you know it, you're sitting having a chat with a couple of the locals and enjoying some good beers.
The interior was modern with a white tiled bar front with a black slate counter top, the flooring was a rich walnut finish and the seating was Bench style and some decent sized tables.
Four cask ales Salopian Tenderfoot, Odyssey Blowin' Steam, Anarchy Blonde Star and Fixed Wheel Cookie, plus two ciders, Snail's Bank Parma Violet and Sandford Devon Red. One of the locals gave me a taste of the Parma Violet, which was like the sweets. They also had a choice of 8 keg beers and an extensive range of cans in the fridge.

Recently opened Micro-pub , the (Welly) Boot as it is known is a single room , basically furnished with benchs down both sides , the bar has 6 handpulls , 2 for cider with the other 4 given to beers from Salopian , Castle Rock and Squawk , 9 craft/keg pulls .
Staff were young and friendly , the couple of pints i had were top notch .
A welcome addition to Wellingtons improving pub scene.
