Housed in a very impressive and imposing building, which I assume to be the town hall as upstairs there’s a preserved debating chamber. A large multi-roomed place in their usual style, this one is a ‘proper finish’ job. Same old drinks as usual. A real downer were the hard-of-thinking staff who made things a real chore; they couldn’t even clear the table, absolutely hopeless bunch of unsupervised indolents who insisted on table service but then shoved us in an unlit room with no other punters, miles away from service. Rubbish as a consequence.
