Will Larter left this review about The Caledonian Craft Beer Merchant
The CCBM, as it says on the sign, is more formally known as the Caledonian Craft Beer Merchant, and is primarily a bottle shop. It's a conversion of a double shop unit, previously a hairdresser's, and the left hand side has been made into a small but pleasant space for drinkers, with a couple of keg craft beers. Space is at a premium because the council has not yet approved an uplift from a maximum of six people to the 12 that has been applied for since some alterations. (There will be four beers available when this goes through.) We bought some bottles to take out and were 20 metres down the street when the owner called out to say that two people had left and did we want to come back. My half of Overtone Weegie 5.5% (brewed in Glasgow, of course) was a New England IPA and so not really something that I was crying out to drink, but it was my daughter's round so it seemed rude not to. This is a smart and well furnished venue for a swift half, but I'd struggle to call it comfortable. I guess it's really a bottle shop, when all's said and done. Top marks for friendly service and for dashing out into the street to call us back, though.
