Two cask ales available at Smoke - Bollington Best and Bollington Long Hop. The Best was £2.40 for a half and I think the Long Hop was about the same. Both ales were sampled and I found them to be decent tasting and in good condition. Although it does seem to focus on food, it's relaxed enough to go just for a drink without feeling out of place.

There are bare board floors, subdued lighting, a mix of table sizes and high and low seating. Toilets are upstairs, as is an additional seating area. An attic room was also signposted (not investigated). There is a small terrace to the front with outdoor seating. Wi-Fi is advertised. The toilets were modern, clean and nice.

It's probably not somewhere you'd choose to hang around for an extended drinking session, but it's certainly a nice place with friendly service and I enjoyed the food and drink I had here.

The fairy light lined frontage of Smoke looks like a restaurant, with a street level decked seating area and additional seating on a first floor balcony. Inside there is some high seating in the front window that is faced by a serving counter for coffee, sandwiches and the like. Behind this counter I was surprised to find an actual bar counter with a couple of hand pumps that were drawing Bollington Brewery’s Best and Long Hop. A premium and craft keg range was also listed on a drinks board up on the wall. There are stools along the bar and some high tables up the left-hand wall. There’s also a tree trunk with a table attached at the rear. There’s additional seating up some stairs that also lead to the aforementioned balcony. I found the service to be friendly and there was a good atmosphere with some Manchester tunes playing in the background. I’d pop back in for a pint if passing.

Contemporary cafe-bar. Two cask ales from Bollington Brewery, plus, a wall of keg taps.
