Hackney Bridge is an entertainment complex in a large warehouse-type building in what I assume is the former Olympic Park. It enjoys a nice location overlooking the former event spaces and canals. Although with the heavens having opened, I was just glad to get undercover.
Arriving at 11am on the morning of a West Ham match, I found the bar on the canal side of the building, overlooking a large outdoor seating area, which I guess is very popular during the summer. The bar already had a large queue of thirsty home fans (I doubt many away fans find this place), as the solitary barman was still setting the bar up. It was probably 11:10 or later before I finally got served. Although once he started, he was very efficient. At the prices they were charging, I doubt many barmen would ever take the amount of money he did in a 10-minute period!
Beers were all crafty keg options - SALT Look, Two Tribes Dream Factory, Metro Land & Metro Land Tokyo & Hangar Pale Ale. All were served in plastic glasses.
I managed to grab a table to admire the view and to contemplate going back out into the rain. The various food stalls with all kinds of different offerings looked tempting and would probably be the only reason I would consider returning to this venue.

An adapted portakabin making use of some waste ground between the Lea Navigation Channel and The Hackney Bridge Food courts. The outside area has been woodchipped underfoot with ten or twelve picnic benches as seating. The bar has some sixteen keg taps but just covering five products,Beavertown Neck Oil, Brixton Pale, Red Stripe Lager and Orchard Cider. I'm not sure how permanant a venue this will be but it's open now and serving beer which was very welcome in the 32 degrees heat on the day.
