E TA left this review about Fidel's Rum Bar
A small, friendly bar which, as the name suggests, specialises in rum. It's in a narrow old back street in the City centre, but they'v still managed to put a couple of small tables outside for cafe-style drinking. The interior is spread over two floors joined by a narrow wooden staircase, the latter recently constructed in timber to try and match the stripped woodfloorboards. The furniture is modern and looks cheap, which along with the music seems to be trying to create the feel of a more sophisticated bar in a different part of the world. The staff are friendly and enthusiastic, while most of the clients - myself included - seem to have come in out of curiosity rather than a desire actually to drink rum. There are over 140 different rums, plus a few whiskies and other things, and of course they do cocktails if you ask. The only beer offering worth mentioning was Bath Gem in bottles. It was a bit of fun, I did try some rum although I'm not really a great spirits drinker, but one visit was enough.
