Handily placed for Stockport Railway Station, Bask is a trendy bar found in a office block with lots of exposed brick and beer shelves around the floor to ceiling windows on the exterior. There was some Manchester originating music playing in the background. Premium and craft keg were available from the polite bar staff and I found somewhere comfortable to sit for a last beer before journeying back to central Manchester on the fast train. Location dictates that I’ll probably visit here again at some point.

A modern cafe-bar in the base of a new office block, facing the station opposite. Lots of glass gives a bright feel to the industrial-type interior, which is furnished with a mixture of fake factory high tables and lower benches, with a few low booths to the side. Outdoor tables are provided under an overhang to the front. No cask in Bask - there is a 3.6% house best bitter, allegedly brewed by Grays (and verging on unpleasant), and a house lager, a Brixton craft and sundry eurofizz all on keg. Food is mainly pies and toasted sandwiches. It is very handy for the station but not of much interest otherwise.
