Will Larter left this review about The Boston Arms
As this pub has recently celebrated its third birthday, I thought it was about time I took its photo for this site, and if I called in during opening hours, a beer and a review too. (It's a 3pm opener in the week, when the sun is badly placed, so I might have to redo the photo.) There are three hand pumps, with Abbeydale Moonshine on permanently, plus two ever changing guests. My half of Verdant Lamanva was very good, the price hike from £4.60/pint to £2.40 for a half not disturbing me at all. Anyway, it was in very good nick. There are two rooms, with the compact bar counter in the front of this corner shop. (Toilets and more seating are up the steep stairs, but there's a very solid hand rail, and also a ground floor toilet for those who can't tackle them.) There are keg lagers and cider, and hazy IPAs, plus cans in a fridge and coffee and cakes too. The pub's name comes from a logo that was done for a previous business, a Boston terrier, which they liked so much they used it for the pub name.

A new venue that's billed as a coffee shop during the day and a micropub in the evening. Eight keg lines available, plus, three cask ales.
